COLLECTIVE BENEFITS

Basics - Trying to incorporate sustainable, enjoyable, effective collective benefits and community investment into my business model has been a goal of mine since I started Attakat. I'm very excited to work together to make this dream a reality! Here's how it works: a portion of the $1500 coverage rate for Attakat photography services at your wedding goes towards making a bit of a difference in a wider context.

This happens by incorporating a $200 donation into the base coverage rate for photography services. First, you choose either a charitable/non-profit organization* you feel passionate about or pick one off of the Attakat featured list for an extra incentive (more on this below). You let me know which organization you have chosen and I will make a $200 dollar donation to that organization in celebration of your wedding and love. Alternatively, if you prefer, you may make the donation and present me with a copy of the receipt. This allows you to customize your donation if you wish and claim it when tax season rolls around.

Attakat's Basic Standards for Charitable and Non-Profit Organizations

1. Charitable and/or non-profit organizations must be registered and accredited as charitable and/or non-profit organizations or provide sufficient evidence to uphold a mandate for public good and/or collective benefits.

2. Organizations must have a mandate that supports collective benefits: public good, community development, education, the general welfare of (wo)mankind, animal and plant life, or the environment etc.

3. Organizations cannot explicitly be a political party or a religious organization, although affiliated organizations that benefit public good and demonstrate collective benefits in a spirit of non-partisanship or ecumenicism may be eligible.

Disclaimer: Kat reserves the right to refuse to collaborate on any organization that she feels does not meet the above standards or aligns with the core values of Attakat.

Attakat's Featured Organizations - These are organizations that are near and dear to my heart that have been vetted as awesome sauce places that do amazing things for the communities they serve. I'd be honoured if you chose to support one of these wonderful organizations, and as an extra little perk in thanks, you will also get a $100 credit towards any prints or products you order. This credit can be combined with the $100 tangible memories discount for $200 of sweet savings!

Limitations, Liabilities, and Legal Stuff - I am in no way formally connected to, affiliated with, nor employed by the organizations mentioned on the Attakat website. All opinions are my own. You enter into any and all donation agreements willingly and agree to discharge and hold harmless Attakat and K. Williams from any discrepancies or claims arising from the donation.

Doing Good Better - Trying to a bit of good can actually be quite overwhelming. I've thought long and hard about how I can make the collective benefits part of my business a cornerstone and not just an afterthought. At the end of the day, I want this and all of my endeavors at Attakat to be thoughtful celebrations of people, tell good stories, and to foster lasting connections. I'd love to hear what you think.
